Cultivating Potential: Subayo Foundation’s Holistic Approach to Community Growth

At the Subayo Foundation, we recognize that empowering a community requires more than just infrastructure—it requires an investment in people, from early childhood to professional specialization. Our latest programs focus on bridging educational gaps, fostering talent through sports, and ensuring the next generation of healthcare professionals has the support they need to succeed.

  Strengthening the Educational Pipeline

We believe that every child deserves a strong start and a clear path to graduation. To support the local school system, the Foundation has implemented several key educational initiatives:

 * Early Childhood Education (ECE) Support: We are currently sponsoring the salary of an ECE teacher at Namitome Primary School, ensuring our youngest learners receive the foundational guidance necessary for lifelong success.

 * Volunteer Teacher Sponsorship: Between 2020 and 2024, the Foundation sponsored the salaries of three volunteer teachers at Namitome Primary School to help address staffing shortages and maintain high teaching standards.

 * Direct Student Aid: Before the introduction of free education, the Subayo Foundation took the initiative to pay school fees for over 300 pupils, ensuring that financial hardship never resulted in a missed education.

Investing in Higher Education and Healthcare

Our commitment to scholarship continues into the professional and tertiary levels. We are proud to announce our current sponsorship programs:

 * Nursing and Midwifery: We are currently sponsoring a dedicated student at the Lewanika School of Nursing and Midwifery. By supporting frontline healthcare training, we are directly investing in the future health and wellness of our region.

 * University Scholarships: The Foundation is currently sponsoring two students at the University of Barotseland, helping them achieve their academic goals and prepare for leadership roles in their respective fields.

  Youth Engagement and Community Spaces

A thriving community provides its youth with safe spaces to play and grow.

 * Sports and Teamwork: Between 2019 and 2025, the Foundation purchased nine pairs of jerseys for the Namitome and Nalinanga football teams. We believe that organized sports teach vital lessons in teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

 * Matoka Village Playhouse: We have successfully sponsored the construction of a dedicated playhouse in Matoka Village, providing a vibrant and safe environment for children to engage in creative play and social interaction.

Our Ongoing Promise

From the classroom to the football pitch, and from the village playhouse to the nursing college, the Subayo Foundation remains a dedicated partner in the progress of our people. We invite you to stay tuned as we continue to expand these programs and reach even more individuals in need.
